Facilitator/Notetaker

Department: Egypt Learning Activity (ELA)
Location: Cairo, Egypt

The USAID/Egypt Mission has contracted Q2 Impact to implement the Learning Activity. This is a five-year activity that will provide monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) support services and build the capacity of USAID/Egypt and implementing partner staff. Specifically, the purpose of the Learning Activity is to provide performance management, monitoring, evaluation, assessments and research and learning support services and build capacity of USAID/Egypt to implement USAID’s Collaborating, Learning and Adapting (CLA) methodology to strengthen the implementation of USAID/Egypt’s Country Development Cooperation Strategy (CDCS) and enhance USAID’s organizational effectiveness.

The Learning Activity is recruiting Facilitators and Notetakers to support learning events, workshops, and other ad hoc events. This is a consultancy role that will involve an estimated 30 level of effort days from October 2023 to September 2024. Work is expected to be done in-person and remotely. This role is open to both local and international consultants.

Responsibilities:

The Facilitators/Notetakers responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute to the development of session plans and agendas.
  • Facilitate and otherwise support events, sessions, and/or meetings as assigned.
  • Support evaluation of meeting results.
  • Take notes on events, sessions and/or meetings as assigned.
  • Develop or contribute to the corresponding reports.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by task lead or manager.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in a related field, with at least five years of professional related work experience
  • Experience supporting workshops, trainings, office retreats and other meetings or events designed to increase collaboration of international development stakeholders in Egypt.
  • Experience with facilitating conversations in small and large groups of professionals.
  • Experience working and/or consulting with international development programs required; experience working and/or consulting on USAID-related assignments preferred.
  • Experience working in Egypt highly desired.
  • Fluency in Arabic, both spoken and written, highly desired.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written, required.
