ABOUT Q2IMPACT:

Q2IMPACT is a forward-thinking, data- and AI-first organization recognized for delivering bespoke solutions to complex global development and security challenges. Leveraging advanced analytics, machine learning, and innovative digital platforms, Q2IMPACT has a long history of empowering clients to make informed decisions, transform operations, and unlock actionable insights. Our agility, creativity, and culture of partnership position us as trusted advisors and solution-builders—helping clients navigate evolving technological and organizational landscapes.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Q2IMPACT is seeking a visionary Product Manager, AI to spearhead the development of AI-powered enterprise solutions for public sector clients. This role is not just about managing a roadmap—it’s about imagining what’s possible, then executing at scale. As the founding product leader for AI, you will assemble and guide a team of Full-Stack AI Developers, shape a portfolio of cutting-edge solutions, and set the standard for innovation in secure, ethical AI for government use cases.

We are looking for someone ambitious enough to redefine what enterprise AI can do in regulated environments and creative enough to design solutions no one has tried before. They will need to be self-motivated, excited by both bootstrapping and strategic thinking, and capable of understanding business needs across a whole portfolio.

This role is pivotal in launching and leading a dedicated team of AI Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) responsible for building secure, scalable, and compliant AI applications based on Q2s backbone Maverick proof of concept that is tailored to government and other clients.

You will define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Q2IMPACT’s AI initiatives, integrating Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, LangChain, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and modern coding tools into production-ready systems. You will be hands-on, expected to code as much as plan, expected to demonstrate and lead with consistent veracity. The ideal candidate blends product leadership, technical acumen, and experience in regulated environments, with the ability to grow and manage a high-performing engineering team.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

AI Product Leadership & Strategy (30%)

  • Define and own the AI product roadmap for public sector use cases, ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards (FedRAMP, NIST, GDPR).
  • Identify priority AI-driven features and integrations leveraging Microsoft stack (including Copilot) and open-source frameworks.
  • Align product vision with client needs, emerging AI trends, and internal business objectives.

Team Building & Leadership (20%)

  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of AI-focused Full-Stack Developers (FDEs).
  • Establish development standards, workflows, and best practices for AI engineering within Q2 Impact.
  • Foster a collaborative environment for innovation in AI and machine learning development.

Technical Execution & Delivery (30%)

  • Develop, deploy, and maintain the quality of customer facing technologies. This includes consistent contributions of code, vibe-coded or not.
  • Drive implementation of AI/ML models and enterprise API integrations across financial and telecom ecosystems.
  • Oversee architecture decisions related to LangChain, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and integration with Microsoft Copilot and Azure AI services.
  • Ensure robust deployment pipelines and DevOps practices for AI applications.

Stakeholder Engagement & Compliance (20%)

  • Act as the primary liaison for internal stakeholders, clients, and external vendors.
  • Communicate AI strategy and technical concepts clearly to business and non-technical audiences.
  • Ensure all AI solutions meet security, data governance, and ethical AI guidelines for public sector contracts.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years in AI/ML-driven products.
  • Proven ability to build and lead technical teams (engineering or AI/ML).
  • Expertise with Microsoft technologies (Azure AI, Copilot, M365 integrations).
  • Hands-on familiarity with LangChain, TensorFlow, PyTorch and AI development practices.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or Java, and experience with modern coding assistants (Cursor, Windsurf). Vibe coding is encouraged.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise API design and integration patterns.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications technologies and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with public sector security and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST, Zero Trust).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience managing large-scale AI projects for government or regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of responsible AI principles, bias mitigation, and ethical deployment practices.
  • Previous experience with LLM fine-tuning, prompt engineering, or AI orchestration frameworks.

KEY COMPETENCIES:

  • Leadership and team-building capability.
  • Strategic and operational thinking.
  • Excellent communication across technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-growth, innovation-driven environment.

What We Offer:

  • Opportunity to advance your career with a cutting-edge, AI-first organization at the forefront of digital transformation in global development and security.
  • Collaborative, inclusive work culture grounded in innovation and excellence.
  • Meaningful impact through supporting vital U.S. government security and diplomacy programs.
  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.
