POSITION SUMMARY

Q2 Impact is recruiting an experienced Director of Communications to develop effective messaging and communications strategies and create promotional and informative materials the company shares with our public audiences. This role will lead corporate communications, including promoting Q2 Impact’s thought leadership and technical expertise; support project communications by providing hands-on support to project teams; and oversee internal communications to promote knowledge sharing and teambuilding.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead Q2 Impact’s communications strategy that guides communication and knowledge management within the organization, identify key messaging, audiences, channels, and strategic opportunities for advancing awareness and company branding.
  • Develop and implement an organization-wide communications plan and ensure that all Home Office, India Office, and Field Teams understand and are engaged on this.
  • Proactively manage and respond to communications needs throughout the organization.
  • Create, maintain, and update external communication, resources, and print materials for Q2 Impact, including website, newsletters, publications, social media, and reports.
  • Manage implementation of communication activities, consistent with strategy and in close collaboration with Home Office, India Office, and Field Teams on a continuous basis.
  • Bring innovative thinking in communications to enhance design and implementation and strategic communications.
  • Advance the latest thinking, products, or ideas for communicating complex issues.
  • Contribute to activity design to help integrate communication as early as possible in activity life cycles.
  • Support project-level communications through hands-on support to project staff in development and executing communication strategies.
  • Proactively support and enhance dissemination and engagement of key audiences.
  • The Communications Director will be responsible for proposing tools and platforms for knowledge sharing among project teams, stakeholders, and beneficiaries, leveraging existing platforms and / or proposing new ones

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of a MA/MS in Communications, Public Relations, International Relations, or a similar field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience, required.
  • Excellent writing and communications skills (written and verbal) and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals
  • Experience in social media management and engagement tools such as Hootsuite, Google Analytics, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • A deep and practical knowledge of the ways in which communications can drive strategy and delivery will be essential.
  • The candidate should have interest and experience in international development, socioeconomic data, and foreign policy issues.
  • Experience leading communications for donor-funded programs in the governance and economic development sectors.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive strategic communications initiatives across the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Established access to clients, industry partners, and internal stakeholders.

PAY RANGE

$130,000 - $150,000
